This is us Books is a young publishing house, founded in 2019 by Sam Hil Atalanta and Sebastian Kersten. It’s focused on inclusivity and diversity, dedicated to giving voice to individuals who aren’t usually represented.
Seeing oneself represented (in mainstream media) can give an individual the reassurance that they are normal, that they belong, that they are part of our society – just like anyone else.
This is us Books aims to build a series of books and educational materials that portray a wide diversity of human beings and expressions, with different kinds of backgrounds, sexualities, gender identities and body types: an honest representation of our society, but with the emphasis on individuals that aren’t often portrayed.
We’re aiming to make a series of publications in which people recognise themselves. We want you to feel welcome.
